Hi I'm Michele Joyce

I'm a book lover. I love scrapbooking, collecting recipes and DIY crafts. I'm a happy wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a nurse by profession. I am currently working for an international company. I am happily married to a man who honors his Priesthood. I love to read and collect books since I was young. I am also fond of scrapbooking, collecting photos, writing on my blog, creating my family story & DIY crafts and listening to my favorite songs. I love to learn new things especially those that can be very beneficial for the home like baking and sewing. I'm a happy housewife.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family who taught me to center my faith in Christ. But I didn't have any idea about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I used to pass by a nearby chapel on my way to school. A friend shared to me about the church when I was in my junior year in high school. Everything was new to me but I became interested. I began reading the Book of Mormon and attending church meetings. I got baptized when I was a freshman in college. I choose to be a Mormon because I received a witness of the truthfulness of the gospel. I have known for myself that indeed it is a Christ-centered church. I became happier knowing of my divine potential as a daughter of God. It's really a different feeling waking up each day if you know the real purpose of life. I become motivated to be a better person as I study the scriptures. I become wiser in my daily choices and decisions. I can feel the influence of the Lord stronger than before. It's a blessing to me to know of things that matter most. The future is bright and I was able to have a better vision of the eternities to come. Life is really beautiful! I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have a lot of opportunities to bless the lives of other. I serve as our ward Gospel Essential Teacher and Self-Reliance Specialist. I am also serving as a newswriter for the Public Affairs.

How I live my faith

The more I appreciate what service really is when I became a member of the church. It's really an act of pure love. I served with the young women right after I got baptized. I assisted them in their personal progress and worked with my counselors for faith building activities. It's an accomplishment seeing them succeed in their endeavors and talents. I served as a full time missionary for 18 months in Philippines Quezon City Mission. It's one of the most rewarding experiences I ever had. It helped me see others as the Lord sees them. The joy is beyond compare when people come unto Christ. I also taught in the Seminary where the youth can learn more of the gospel. When I moved to a new ward after I got married, I was called as a Gospel Essential teacher for the investigators taught by the missionaries. I got a new calling recently being the ward self-reliance specialist. It's fun to serve!

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Michele Joyce
The prophet Alma in the Book of Mormon said "All things denote there is a God". The life that we have is a powerful evidence of the existence of God. It's so amazing how our body works. Our different systems work together so we can survive and do our daily tasks. Our eyes can see the beauty of the creation, our hears can her melodies, our nose can smell what our mom is cooking, and our feet can walk us many places. Every single beat of our heart says there is a God who made us all. The family that we have makes us feel more the influence and love of God. We can feel that there's strength beyond our own when we face challenges because of Him. He has been providing our needs and blesses us each day. I feel so grateful being a part of His wonderful plan. We did not come here by chance. We are all his sons and daughters. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Michele Joyce
I came to know more of my Heavenly Father when I pray, go to church and study my scriptures. My testimony continues to increase that he really lives as I ponder the messages I've heard and read from the living prophet and apostles. I become more closer to him as I obey the commandments.
