Hi I'm Evan

I play and teach piano. I love to write. I was homeschooled K-12. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy playing the piano. I find it very fun to improvise and make up my own music. I also like teaching others piano, and I hope that I can help others develop a love for the piano as strong as mine. Another thing I like doing a lot, is writing fiction. I can spend large amounts of time in a world of my own creation, thinking about plot, characters, and the order of things. My favorite genre is fantasy, and I hope one day to complete a novel and get it published. When I'm not playing the piano or writing, I like to hang out with my friends, play basketball, and listen to music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, and I intend to stay in it. The principles of righteousness that I have learned in the church all make sense, and I want to follow those for the rest of my life. I believe that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet who can guide the Lord's people through these latter days, and I want the full blessings of following the Lord's counsel, as given through his prophets.

How I live my faith

I find a lot of satisfaction in musical improvisation, especially based on the Hymns. I'm able to use this talent in church as the organist in my congregation. I feel blessed to have this calling that helps strengthen my talents while giving me such a great opportunity to serve others. Oftentimes I have the chance to play prelude for twenty minutes or so before the worship service begins. I find that playing sacred songs helps me and others feel the peace and love of our Father in Heaven.
