Hi I'm Sarah Marie

Hi, I'm Sarah. I love dancing and reading and being random. And I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it.

About Me

I'm a student at the University of Utah, but I've put that on hold for a while. Right now, I'm a missionary in the Texas Houston South Mission, and loving it! I have been dancing for basically my whole life, and it's a big part of my identity. I dance pretty much everywhere and all the time - if you hear music coming from the room where I'm in, enter with caution! I love school (mostly) and was a part of the IB program during High School. I'me very crafty - anything from scrapbooks, to decorations, to object lessons. I'm also an ambitious reader. One of my favorite things is getting a stack of books from the library, and not stopping reading until I finish them all. Sometimes that means staying up all night, but that's the point. I read very fast - most books take me less than a day to finish (that's why I stay up all night). I'm one of two kids in my family; it's just me and my little brother. We didn't always get along, and sometimes still don't, but now we're great friends. We love playing video games together, especially Mario Kart. As a family, we love movie nights, road trips and board games. I love spending time with my extended family and I see them often. We all camp out once a year, during which we go on hikes, stay up late and play Nertz. Our games are fast and furious, very competitive, and some of my favorite memories.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I received a witness of the truth. Of this truth. I know this is the restored gospel. I have grown in the church and I can see the joy and peace that comes from being a member of this truth. And I can see the difference in my day to day life from obeying the commandments and living my life close to my Father in Heaven. I know that Jesus is my Savior and my brother, that he came to the earth and has given us the opportunity to repent of our sins and live again. I know the truth of this gospel, and I love it.

How I live my faith

My faith isn't just something I believe in - for me it's my lifestyle. I try every day to follow the example of my Savior Jesus Christ - in word, deed and thought. I love learning more about Him in the scriptures and getting to know Him better through prayer. Right now, as a missionary, I've given 18 months to share the gospel and help others come unto Christ as well. There are so many different ways my faith impacts my life. It's more than just going to church on Sundays. I loved Primary growing up - I knew all the songs and would sing loud and proud. I also loved Young Women's and worked hard to complete Personal Progress. I also loved my calling as a Primary Teacher - I learned so much from teaching those sweet and sassy 5 year-olds!
