Hi I'm Jarett

I love Movies. I enjoy my family. I'm a ranked competitive shooter. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a student at a Local University, I enjoy collecting guns, knives and pens. I like to shoot trap and skeet, and also working on cars. I love my family and my Savior Jesus Christ. I Love to watch movies, and various TV shows. I enjoy eating out and trying different foods, and cooking too. I love working on my Yard and fixing things around the house.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that Heavenly Father loves us so much that he would never stop giving us guidance. The knowledge that Heavenly Father has given us a Prophet in the Latter Day is so wonderful and brings me peace to my life. The emphasis on family and the capacity of families to be eternal is great. I believe that we have a purpose in our lives here on earth and that our families and loved ones are to be with us forever. Jesus Christ is our savior, and He did restore the fulness of his gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know this to be true because I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon. It is the convincing evidence that God has restored the gospel and helped us to be able to have the truth once more. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, along with the Bible. I know that our Heavenly Father loves all of us so much that He would never stop to guide us back to him. I cherish and love this gospel because it brings me peace, guidance and comfort in this life, and It makes sense.

How I live my faith

I love to participate in service projects, especially for the community. I enjoy working with others to help make our community a better place for everyone. I am serving a Mission in Morristown New Jersey, and love to share the message of the Restored gospel with everyone I can. I always strive to be a better man, son, friend and saint each and every day. I am not a perfect man, but with each day I strive to come closer to Our Savior Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Our Heavenly Father Loves us very dearly, and wants us to succeed. As promised in the Bible in James 1:5, If we ask God with a sincere heart, desiring righteous things, we will receive an answer to our prayers. If we wish to know if these things are true, we must do our part by reading some of the Book of Mormon, then pondering its message, then asking to know if it is true. If we truly do desire to know and are willing to change, the Holy Ghost will testify to us the truth of the Book of Mormon's message. I know this, because I have done that very thing. I invite you to do the same. I know that you can and will receive that witness for yourself. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision was a very miraculous and World changing event. It all began with Joseph Smith as a boy searching for the truth in the Churches that existed in his day. He was confused with the conflict, and strife that the teachings of each church caused among the people, and felt like there should be one truth that would work for everyone, especially if it were a church from God. He made an earnest effort to find the truth for himself, and after months of reading and pondering, Joseph Decided to pray after reading James 1:5, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him”. He did, and the answer was one he was not expecting. In his own words he said: “I saw a pillar of light, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it rested upon me. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!” Joseph was told to join none of the churches that existed at that time as the priesthood authority and Church as Jesus Christ had organized it when He was on the earth had been lost over the centuries. I Know that this is true. Show more Show less
