Hi I'm Anna Marie

I grew up in California. I love Art and Sign Language. I graduated college when I was 19. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in California. I have a wonderful family, I'm the 6th out of 9 children. I went to BYU and graduated with a BA in Visual Arts at age 19. I love art, and want to be a writer/illustrator for childerns' books. I love American Sign Language and am working on becoming an interpreter. My favorite sport is baseball and I love the sun, the beach and butterflies. I love dance parties, making fun videos to post on youtube and spending time with people.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being Mormon. My parents joined the church and raised me in it. Although I was raised in it, I had to find out for myself why being Mormon is so important and the way to a happier life. I have discovered through trial, error and success that If I start my day by sincerely praying, I can feel God there helping me and providing me with peace. If I read my scriptures and listen to music that is positive, I feel happier and ready to communicate with God. When I avoid watching or listening to media that is dirty, violent or vulgar, feelings of fear, discontentment and lack of purpose disintegrate. I love my family and when I look back and recall the most beautiful moments that have brought me the most happiness and love in life, those moments are directly connected to my family and being Mormon. Words cannot accurately describe what is felt when kneeling in a family circle, united in prayer, and hearing a beloved family member, with sure confidence and sincerity asking an almighty God to bless you directly, then feeling the Holy Ghost confirm to you through the sweetest feelings of love and peace that God is listening. Mormonism teaches us how to build families that bring this type of happiness, and promises us if we keep God's commandments we can be together forever. My parents have taught me that Heavenly Father loves me and is rooting for me and I can better understand that concept because I see my mortal parents loving me and rooting for me as well. Romans 8:31 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?". Life is better because I am Mormon. I feel happy, loved, at peace and confident that with God's help, I am capable of attaining more happiness and success in this life and after. I love Jesus Christ and all He has done for me. Because of Him, I have a wonderful family that can be together forever, a relationship with my Heavenly Father and the ability to start over every time I mess up. I am a Mormon because of Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day of my life, by praying to Heavenly Father and reading my scriptures in order to learn more about Jesus Christ. I try to keep my language clean and positive. I take care of my body so I can feel God's Spirit. I avoid things that are unhealthy morally and physically. Every Sunday I attend church services and twice a month I play piano for them. Twice a month I attend church with two darling deaf girls who I interpret for free of charge. I never feel happier than when I am serving them and using the skills I have developed to show the girls that I love them and that I love Heavenly Father as well.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Anna Marie
Everyday one is able to identify sure evidence that there is a God. I am an artist and am very much drawn to beautiful creations. A breathtakingly perfect creation is this earth. Every sunset, every star, every hill and every butterfly is a sure witness to a brilliant and all powerful Artist. No artwork on canvas compares to the sound of falling rain, the feeling of green grass or the overwhelming view of the ocean. The most powerful testament to God's existence is found in the two brown eyes that meet me in the mirror everyday. Our bodies are incredible. The fact that my heart is beating is no accident and every single body is beautiful and miraculous. Life itself shows that there is a God. Show more Show less
