Hi I'm Josh

I'm a bibliophile, amateur historian, anime lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as the eldest of six kids. I have loved reading since the time I was seven. I have a passion for military history and history in general. I have loved watching anime since I watched Pokemon as a child. I love having quiet time to myself, but I love spending time with my family no matter how loud it gets. And in time I hope that I can have a family of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I can see how it makes people happy. I can see how it makes them healthy by the way we live. I can see how it makes them hungry for the word of God, and to do whats right. I am a Mormon because I can see plainly how living this Gospel has improved my life and made it easier. In my life not all things have been easy, but it has been worth it. Change is hard, but nothing worthwhile is easy to obtain. I am a Mormon because it helps me maintain my Honor. And as such I will continue to live a lifestyle that will keep me in accordance to the word of God as set down by the Scriptures and the Prophets.

How I live my faith

Books have always been one of my greatest friends. Like many protagonists in the fictional world, I try to live my life with honor. I live everyday trying to define honor for myself, and how I can maintain that honor. Honor is being trustworthy, keeping promises no matter the cost, being chivalrous but not judging others as weak or unable to help themselves. Honor is making promises to God and keeping them. Having Honor is keeping my faith in Him strong. I live my faith by making my faith a lifestyle. So for me Honor is Faith. And since one of my favorite Motto's is Est Sularus Oth Mithas, My Honor Is My Life, therefore My Faith Is My Life.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

In a short word, No we do not worship Joseph Smith. We certainly respect him. Worship is acclimated in our Father in Heaven, and the risen Lord Jesus Christ. I respect Joseph Smith a great deal. But I will never worship anyone or anything other than my Father and my Lord Jesus Christ. The Prophet Joseph Smith was merely an instrument in the grand design of organizing Christ's church again on the Earth to stay until his Second Coming. He was and is a great man, but even he has always extolled the name of Christ never seeking to put himself before him. Because there is none among the Children of God who will ever be more important than Christ. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

I know that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Redeemer. He is my Savior. He is the Savior of the Entire world. I have accepted him as such and accept him into my life. In any other sect of Christianity this would be accepted as being a God-fearing Christian. Why not in our Church? We are Christian. We Love Our Savior, Our God, Our King. We Love, and worship Him and Our Father in Heaven. But on a personal level. I know that my Redeemer Lives. He lives to comfort me and all of us when we are weak. He is there to be our intercessor at the Judgement Day. He is My Lord and Master. Show more Show less
