Hi I'm Eilidh

I love Travelling and meeting new people. I'm a student. I love music. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love swimming, I used to swim competitively in high school. But I didn't compete in my senior year of high school because I took a trip to the Kingdom of Tonga to do some Humanitarian work with members of the church. My trip to Tonga has had such a big impact on my love towards the church. I love seeing the ways in which culture and religion mix. For example in Tonga, not many people know how to play the piano so the songs are sung acapella and very loud. Which is really awesome and brings a very strong spirit. Music is a big part of my life, I love playing learning to play instruments as well as listening to different types of music. I am currently upgrading some high school classes as I try to decide what career I want to pursue.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the gospel has really been a blessing, but everyone has the moment when they realize that the church is true. After I had finally completed the Book of Mormon from cover to cover by myself when I was younger, I said a prayer to ask if the words I had read where true. I didn't receive the answer that I expected, I was expecting to be over come with joy and to be filled with all the knowledge that I needed... but that didn't happen. But after this experience when I went to church I felt like this was the right thing to do, that the gospel was the right thing for my life. Recently I found a quote by a latter day prophet : " The whole idea of Mormonism is improvement mentally, physically and spiritually." I like this quote because I want to be the best that I can be in my life and I don't think I would be able to improve myself without the guidance of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I have a calling on the food committee, so we plan the food that is provided at activities and institute. I love listening to the testimonies and experiences from the people around me, they strengthen my testimony and allow me to feel the spirit.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

The best way to know more about our Heavenly Father is to pray to him, prayer is our personal connection with him so what better way to know of him than talking to him? We can also know more of our Father in Heaven through reading the scriptures as well as recent talks from apostles and prophets from this day and age. Show more Show less
