Hi I'm Jason Stewart

I grew up in Iowa City, IA. I have been called to serve in the Costa Rica San Jose Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old. I'm currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt joy in my life through this gospel. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I have received a burning testimony of its truthfulness. I know Joseph Smith is a prophet and he translated the Book of Mormon. He also restored the Church of Jesus Christ back on the earth today. Jesus Christ suffered and died for us, He suffered for both our sins and afflictions. He knows what we go through because He, Himself, went through what we are when He performed the Atonement. I have felt the enabling power of the Atonement in my life, I have been cleansed of my sins and I have also been comforted when I was down. He is always there for us, all we need to do is get on bent knees and pray. God answers our prayers. It may not be on our time schedule but He will answer them eventually. I can tell you with all my heart, this gospel is true and I have felt so much joy because of it. And because of this I have decided to serve a full-time 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Currently my calling for the LDS Church is to be a Family Home Evening Leader in my ward. What this entails is, in college when you aren't married you go to a singles ward and nobody has a real family" we make make-shift families. My job is to find fun, creative activities on Monday nights for my "family." Its a good way to get to know others around and to just have fun. I am preparing to serve a mission by studying Preach my Gospel and by continuing to read my scriptures and pray daily.
