Hi I'm Brittney

I grew up in Texas. My husband and I are the parents of two children. I am a stay at home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have two children. I am a stay at home mom and my husband works in law enforcement. I received my associates of science degree from BYU Idaho and a bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Texas Woman's University. I love the outdoors, fishing, cooking, and spending time with my hubby and my kids outside!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because there is no greater source of happiness available than that which comes through living the principles taught by Jesus Christ. The name of my church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jesus Christ is the center of my church. I have studied the life of the Savior in the scriptures and have learned that I can be a better person by growing closer to Christ and by trying my best to live my life like he would. The gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me to be a better wife and mother to my children. I am not perfect and have made mistakes, but my Savior has provided a way so that I can repent and be forgiven. He has provided that for all of us, and wants us to know it's never to late to come back to him. The teachings of the Church have brought great comfort and direction to me and my family. In my husbands line of work he sees everyday how bad choices can lead to fatal consequences. It has taught our family how important it is to go to church together every Sunday as a family and live and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to our children. We live a world that is continually confused and in turmoil, but the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ have always been there for me acting as an anchor.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the teacher and leader of a group of young girls ages 8 to 11 in my church. It's so much fun! I am responsible for teaching these girls every Sunday and organizing events/activities twice a month. These activities are meant to teach these young girls how to develop new talents (such as learning to cook or develop new skills), how to make good choices and be a better leader, and most importantly how to grow closer to our Savior Jesus Christ! This amazing program helps prepare these girls to have the confidence in themselves and lean on ,what they know to be true, to face the pressures, challenges, and choices they will have to make in middle and high school. ALL of the leaders in our church do EVERYTHING for free and are not payed or given anything in return for their service. It makes me feel happy when I have the opportunity to love, serve, and teach these wonderful girls!
