Hi I'm Nicole

I'm from good old Utah. I'm about to serve a mission in Lisbon, Portugal. I love to laugh and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an average freshman in college. I am majoring in Math Education because I'm a little bit of a math nerd. I absolutely love playing tennis. I also like doing yoga, hiking, and being outdoors. I love folk music and I wish I could play the piano better. My family and friends are my life and I love them to death. I am currently serving in the Portugal Lisbon mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon because I was raised in the Church. I became converted when I was about 14 after reading the Book of Mormon on my own for the first time. After I had finished the book I did as Moroni asks in chapter 10 and prayed to know if it was true. I had an immense peace and comfort come over me. It felt as if comforting arms had been placed around me, and I knew that this was the Spirit testifying to me that it is true. After this experience I have had many others that have testified to me continually that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the complete and full restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know Joseph Smith restored the gospel back onto the earth as it was in Christ's day. I know Thomas S. Monson is a prophet and I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. This gospel brings me so much happiness and gives meaning and purpose to my life. I am not lost and never have been. I know who I am and I am so grateful for this gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as a Sunday School Teacher in my ward and attending classes at my local LDS Institute. I will also be serving a mission for the Church from March 2014 - September 2014. I have been called to serve in the Portugal Lisbon Mission and I couldn't be happier! I can't wait to serve our Heavenly Father for 18 months. Putting all of that aside, I try to live my faith mostly by trying to follow the example of our savior and redeemer, Jesus Christ.
