Hi I'm Jay

I grew up in Idaho but have spent the last 28 years with my wife and 6 children in Southern California.

About Me

I am the husband to my beautiful and loving wife of 30 years. Together we have 6 children and one grandchild (so far). I am a Chiropractor and a Clinical Nutritionist and have been in practice for over 25 years. I lecture frequently throughout the United States on various topics pertaining to nutrition and health. The revelation called the Word of Wisdom given to the Prophet Joseph Smith is truly prophetic! It's amazing to me how science has been trying to catch up with the Lords' "wisdom" all this time. I love life. I'm an avid basketball and golf fan. I love the excitement of a big city, but also quite times, the beach and nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my personal witness and testimony that God lives and loves us. God directs His kingdom on earth today through living prophets and apostles. I have a personal testimony of the power of prayer. I love the Bible and joy in the life and teaching of Jesus. I also have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and know that it is God's word. I am a Mormon because it truly makes me happy and makes my life better. Living the Gospel helps me feel closer to my Heavenly Father. The Gospel of Jesus Christ helps me be a better person, husband and father. I can't imagine trying to raise my children in today's world without the wisdom and support of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for the countless blessings of His gospel.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily activity. Mormons are 1st and foremost Christians. Therefore, I to strive to follow the Savior's example and live as he would have me live. The Apostle James taught us to; "be doers of the word and not hearers only. . . " Experience has taught me that God's plan for me, is much better than my plan for me. The Gospel of Jesus Christ provides the "rudder" which helps to guide and protect us from so many of life's storms. I've had many opportunities to help and serve in the Church. I've been involved in working with the youth for much of my adult life, both in Scouting and other activities. My four boys are Eagle Scouts and I am so proud of them. Working with the youth of the Church has been a great blessing as I've often worked directly with or close to my children. The family is the fundamental unit of the gospel. As a young boy I remember two powerful statements from great prophets: David O. McKay taught that, "No other success can compensate for failure in the home," and Harold B. Lee said, "The greatest work you will ever do will be within the walls of you own home." I strive to live my faith by being a loving and responsible husband and father.
