Hi I'm Don Reid

I grew up in Utah and now live in New Mexico. I'm a fourth generation member of the LDS Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired electrical engineer. I am married and my wife and I have four children, fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. We love them all dearly. We have served three senior missions. My time is currently spent serving in various Church callings and doing web page design as a hobby and service to volunteer organizations.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a fourth generation Mormon. I am grateful to great-grandparents who had the courage to join the Church in Europe and immigrate to the United States. I am grateful to parents and grandparents who kept the faith and showed me the way to eternal life. I have been married for almost 60 years and the principal of eternal marriage, taught only in the Mormon Church, is very precious to me. I believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten of the Father. I know that I can only return to their presence by living the principals of the gospel as taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and by wholesome service to others.

How I live my faith

My parents were members of the LDS Church. I have been active in my faith all my life. My wife is also a life-long member and we have always serve in the Church as a family. I have had the opportunity to serve in many leadership positions over the years. After retirement, my wife and I have been able to serve on three senior couple missions, each with a duration of 18 months. On two of those missions we had the opportunity to work with college age youth which was a great blessing in our lives. As a couple we study the scriptures, we pray together, and we serve together.
