Hi I'm Jessica

I am a college student. I love to do photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Family Consumer Human Development with an emphasis on Family Community Services. I am married hope to be able to start my family within the next year. I enjoy both listening and participating in music. I play the viola and piano. I also enjoy art, specifically photography. I am an amateur, but I hope to continue to develop this ability. I like the outdoors and enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, 4-wheeling, hiking, biking, and so on.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have always known how important the gospel is. I constantly feel the love of my Savior and Heavenly Father. I know he is there and always listening. He comforts me when I have struggles in my life and lifts my burdens. Through the gospel, I know that he will always be there. I also know that through the sacrifice of our Savior, we can be eternal families. We have the great opportunity to be with each member of our families throughout the eternities, even after the end of mortality. Christ made it possible to repent of our sins, and we can be made clean by taking his name upon us. I know that I am imperfect, but through Christ, I can become perfect. Honestly, knowing these few things has made all the difference in my life. I have been through many hardships in my life, but I have been sustained by this knowledge and bolstered up by the Lord. When I have doubts, I can turn to the scriptures or pray for answers. And I know I will receive them....I just need to ask with faith. I know Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God. His counselors and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles are called of God. I know the Lord knows each of us. He LOVES us. He wants us to returns to him and to enjoy the blessings of exhalation. I leave this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a variety of ways. First, and foremost, I live my life by trying to be an example of the beliefs taught in the LDS faith. This is shown by obeying the commandments of the Lord, my mannerisms, and how I treat others. I feel that this is the most influential and telling of how I live my faith. Within the church, I have callings that allow me to serve and help others. I get to work with extraordinary women within my ward. I have the get privilege to teach the gospel in the homes of the sisters in my ward through visiting teaching. I am given the opportunity every week to go to all three meetings to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope that sometime in the near future to be able to teach the values I hold dear to my children. Giving them the knowledge of the gospel of Christ and living in a way that helps us draw closer to the Lord and to others will be invaluable throughout their lives. I know that for a fact. Working together and becoming more Christ-like is the ultimate goal.
