Hi I'm Cydney Andrews

I'm from Utah. I´m serving a mission in Mexico. I´m a Mormon :)

About Me

Right now, I am serving a mission in Oaxaca, Mexico and I am loving it! Before my mission, I graduated from High School and finished one year of general classes at Utah State University. I also worked at a little restaurant in my city to earn money for my mission. I love to ski! My favorite day of the year is the day that the slopes open up :) I also played soccer and tennis in High School and enjoy being outside in the sun!....or in the snow for that matter. I am happiest when I am around my friends and family. I'm very social and I love getting to know other people. I also LOVE reading!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and my family has been members ever since the pioneers crossed the plains. I don't have some miraculous conversion story as to how I found the LDS Church, but I have definately had a conversion in my heart. When I was little, I always went to church and I always participated in all of the church activities, and I actually really enjoyed it! I felt good when I went and I understood that those feelings were from the Holy Ghost. I think I've always known the church is true, but it wasn't until after I read the Book of Mormon that I truly gained my testimony--that I truly had my own conversion. I follwed the three steps in the introduction of the Book of Mormon. I read the Book of Mormon, I pondered it and I asked my Father in Heaven. I got on my knees and I asked if the book was the word of God and if Joseph Smith was the prophet of the Restoration. And not only did I ask, but, like it says in Moroni 10, I asked with real intent and with faith. I had a deep desire to know, and I had so much faith that the the book was true. After I ended my sincere prayer, I immediately felt something amazing. It felt like a giant hug. I felt so warm inside and, in my heart, the Holy Ghost gave me an answer. I felt at peace. I felt joy. I felt enlightened. And to this day, I have those exact same feelings. As I live the gospel of Jesus Christ, I can feel the presence of the Holy Ghost in and I can tell a difference in the quality of my life. Since I recieved my answer to my prayer about the Book of Mormon, I have continuted to recieve constant reminders throughout my life that this gospel is true. I can't doubt it. And I am so happy that I have this knowledge. This is the main reason why I am serving as a full time missionary. I want other people to experience the same happiness and joy that I have.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. Over the years, I have been thankful for my callings and my participation in church-related actvities. As of right now, I am a full time missionary. Prior to my mission, I had the opportunity of being the Laurel Training Camp President over three stakes of Young Women. It lasted for one week and during this week, we participated in fun and spiritual activities. I loved it! My testimony grew so much at LTC--not to mention I made a bunch of new friends! I was also the Sunday School teacher for the 12 year old kids in my home ward. I assisted a Young Single Adult Ward during my year in college where I was on the "Linger Longer" committee and planned events that took place after church on Sundays. I then returned to my home ward as I began my mission papers.
