Hi I'm Katie

I grew up and still live in Utah. I am thankful to be a member of Christ's true church on the earth.

About Me

I am a mother of three children. I work part time at an elementary school as a math/office aide. I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting with friends, serving those around me, Graphic Design, organizing, and traveling with my family to see new and beautiful places. I love seeing the amazing places Heavenly Father created for us to enjoy.

Why I am a Mormon

I started out as a Mormon because I was born into a family that was Mormon but as I have grown, I have gained a testimony of my own that this is Christ's Gospel and am thankful for the Spirit that enters into my hearts and confirms that at different times throughout each day, week, month, year during different experiences that happen on my journey here on earth. I love the feeling I get inside the temple and am grateful that families can be sealed for time and all eternity in the Lord's sacred temples across the world...what a tremendous blessing. I want to be worthy so that one day when I meet my Heavenly Father and Savior, I can thank them for all they do for me and my family. I am a Child of God, He know me personally and loves me despite my weaknesses and I know that He loves each and every one of YOU, His Children here on earth. He has placed us here to do His work and share the happiness and peace that comes from living a righteous life.

How I live my faith

I love to get to know the sister's in our area by being a Visiting Teacher and enjoy my visits and friendships. I also enjoy serving in the church with the young women ages 12 - 18 and am thankful for the testimonies of our youth. I want to raise a righteous posterity and hope my kids will feel the love of our Savior in their lives through the influence of the Holy Ghost. I am thankful for the gift of the Atonement so I can ask for forgiveness when I fall short. I want to be an example of Christ by patterning my life after His. I try to listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost and pray that Heavenly Father will guide me each day to those around me I could help.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

I don't like the feeling of being "unprepared". When we listen to the Propet's council and prepare for what may come in the future, we are better securing our family for unexpected changes that may come. It is a blessing to be able to be self-reliant. To learn to take care of ourselves and families brings a sense of accomplishment and helps us to learn to work hard and feel peace. Show more Show less
