About Me

I enjoy walking, reading, trying to lose weight, not doing so well lol, I find fun times with family and friends, my work is challenging but fun and we all make the best of it day to day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because the Lord showed me His divine love, and continues to do so each and every day. To this day I still remember well my baptism and how I felt after coming out of the water, it felt as if a great weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Each week, we have the opportunity to partake of the Sacrament to renew our covenants we made at baptism, to strive a little harder that week, to try and be kinder, more neighborly and follow in the footsteps of Christ. I always hope and pray that I can do better each day and I think of what a different world it would be if we all followed Christ and His example, I feel the world would be a better place. Part of what is great, I feel about being a Mormon, is that I attend church with people who are just like me imperfect, and we remind ourselves of that but we have a connection through Christ so we call each other brother or sister, to remind ourselves we are all on the same path to follow Christ, and so we do our best helping and nurturing one another as Christ would want us too. Granted we are not perfect, but we have help through Jesus Christ. What a wonderful and great blessing that is, to know He is there to ever help, to ever lift, to console when we need of comfort, and chasten when we need to be, but I have felt Him do it very lovingly in my experiences as a member of the Church. I learn so much, attending church and reading my scriptures and praying asking for help for myself or the help of others. I know He has answered my prayers in His time and in His own way, and I am grateful for that for I have learned much because of it. I know that He is my eternal friend, I pray each day that I will live up to His expectations and not the world's

How I live my faith

I do my best each day to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as He would want me too, I am not perfect but I know of His undying love for me. He helps me each day to see my worth and the worth of others. I try each day to pray and read my scriptures although I am not perfect at it, but I am working on that. I try and think of ways I can serve those around me, even if I may have limitations to do so, it does not stop me from trying and there is great satisfaction knowing that you have helped someone else even if it is just a smile to brighten their day. I try to look at the positive things in life and the beauty that there is all around us if we just take a moment to stop and look, from our busy schedules.
