Hi I'm Ceana Baxter

I grew up in Oregon. I love to socialize with people and care for animals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, ride horses, and go to the beach. I also love dressing up and going to formal dances. I love to work with animals, and am currently working at a local vet clinic. Right now I am preparing to go on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of this church because I have come to know that a lot of it is true. For example, I believe that through this church, and through the temple, I can be with my family forever- my current family and my own future family. I have always known that the temple is a special place. I think it is something that my spirit remembers from the life before this one- it truly is where Heavenly Father lives, and Christ has walked through every temple. Through prayer and study I have come to know that the Book of Mormon is a true book, and I can't wait to meet all of the prophets who helped write it. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and that he helped restore Christ's church. I have come to know this through prayer, going to church, and actively learning about it. The Spirit has told me it is true. I know that I am always learning, and that it is ok to have questions. The important part is to ask. There will always be people willing to answer questions if you truly want to know the answer.

How I live my faith

Currently I am going to my home ward. I am also going out with our sister missionaries to help spread the gospel, and to practice teaching others for when I go on my mission. I do not have any callings (jobs in the church) right now, but have previously had a calling playing the piano for our church meetings.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Ceana Baxter
A testimony is what you receive when you ask a question and receive an answer from the Holy Ghost. You gain knowledge and confidence about something in the gospel. I have received a testimony of different principles of the gospel by going to church, reading my scriptures, praying, going to the temple, and going to several classes on different subjects.
