Hi I'm Jana

I'm a photographer with four wonderful kids and a husband currently stationed at Fort Drum and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a proud stay at home mom of four amazing kids. I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with my family and photography. Puzzles help me de-stress as needed. And I absolutely love to cook for others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in as LDS family and was baptized just after I turned 9. I know, 8 is usually the age most kids get baptized in our Church, but I was a bit behind due to our family moving from one area to a new one and trying to get settled. My family fell away from the Church after my parents divorced, and we were inactive for a long time. After leaving home and joining the military I went to a few different Churches, including an LDS Church. But none of the others felt right. The feeling I get when I walk into an LDS Church can't be described, but I'll try. I feel loved and I feel an overwhelming amount of support from the other members. I can feel the Spirit so strongly that I am almost always moved to tears. The messages and thoughts that are shared feel like they're being directed at me, but not in a way to make me feel like I'm doing things wrong... in a way that encourages me to do better and know that I am not alone in my struggles. I can't explain it, I just know that this Church is the one true Church and that this is where my family and I belong. Being at Church, I learn how to be more patient and loving with my kids and my husband. I learn to listen to the Spirit and his promptings and to help others, which bring many great and wonderful blessings into our lives.

How I live my faith

I love inviting my friends into my home to share a meal with the Missionaries. Sharing the Gospel with others brings me great joy. I enjoy attending Church, Baptisms and other Church activities. I'm always looking for someone to help in any way that I am able.
