Hi I'm Michael

I grew up in Utah. I've been a member all my life, and going on a mission Feb 26, 2014. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play video games, write fanfiction, read and watch science fiction and fantasy. I've just obtained my two year associate degree in generals. I love to work out at they gym, and hang with friends when I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess originally I was mormon, because my parents were. However, as I grew up I wished to know for myself, and after several spiritual witnesses or for me confirmations that this is the restored church I knew for myself. There have been really really hard times in my life, and the only reason why I got through those was with my knowledge that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and restored the church to how it has been whenever it was fully on the Earth. I wouldn't be alive today if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was false. This truth is a reality not a fantasy. I know this is the restored church. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by remembering we are all children of Heavenly Father and that means to me everyone is my spiritual brother or sister. Knowing that helps me to treat others good and deal with them righteously as if they were part of my own immediate family. I also try to make sure I help people out when asked, and do service for others. My calling in my ward was on the activity committee where we would plan events for my singles ward. I would help prepare and clean up after the event where we usually do some fun stuff and eat food. My faith gives me hope in this life, and with that it is easier to live in this day and age.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Michael
The Book of Mormon is a second witness of Jesus Christ. There is a law of witnesses where to prove something you need two or more witnesses. The Holy Bible is one witness and the Book of Mormon is another. The Book of Mormon is also evidence or witness that the Holy Bible is true, and that is needed in this day and age when more are beggining to doubt the Holy Bible. Matthew 18:16. 2 Nephi 29: 8 Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word? Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember one nation like unto another? Wherefore, I speak the same words unto one nation like unto another. And when the two nations shall run together the testimony of the two nations shall run together also. 9 And I do this that I may prove unto many that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that I speak forth my words according to mine own pleasure. And because that I have spoken one word ye need not suppose that I cannot speak another; for my work is not yet finished; neither shall it be until the end of man, neither from that time henceforth and forever. Ezekiel 37: 16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
