Hi I'm Dennis

"I was born and raised in Greybull, Wyoming. I love my hometown, and the Big Horn Mountains. I am a Mormon."

About Me

I grew up playing sports, fishing and hunting with my friends. I am a 'wannabe' Soda Jerk, and my goal is to teach my family to all become Soda Jerks. When my 13 grandchilden were born they received a 1930, 1940 or 1950's malt mixer from me. They all know how to make malts, shakes, many other ice cream treats, as well as many of the old fountain drinks popular in the 1950 era. I went to college for two years, and met my wife at a community dance. I received my draft notice the day of the wedding shower. I was to report 2 days before our wedding date. Our neighbor helped change the date on our announcements and moved our marriage to one week earlier. We now have 3 childern and 13 grandchildren. I recently retired after working in the insurance business for 39 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a part member home, but attended church mostly with my mother at the Mormon church. My dad had asked that I not get baptized until I turned age 18. As I attended church, one of the teachings that rang true to me, was that we can become eternal families. I knew that I would like to some day be married in the temple. I have since been married in the temple and have gained an even stronger testimony that as we keep the covenants we have made, we can be a forever family.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed helping my children by serving in Parent-Teacher Organizations, coaching Little League sports, and serving as President of American Legion Baseball. I also served on local Insurance Organization Boards, and the Junior Acheivement Board for several years. I have spent many years working with the youth and in leadership positions in the church.
