Hi I'm Shaelie Wood

I love to travel and experience other cultures, love being crafty, sporty, and giggly. love being in a family of girls.

About Me

I am a humanitarian enthusiast, one of my greatest passions is traveling to other countries and expirienceing different cultures and traditions. My favorite country that i have traveled to is Kenya, it gave me a new perspective and deepened my appreciation for the little things in life. I love my family so much- i am the second of five girls. I play basketball and run cross country. My ipod is soley country music and Disney soundtracks. An ideal weekend would be eating sushi with my sisters, going to sporting events with my dad, and adventuring in the canyons with my friends. I am a firm believer in dancing like no one is watching. I love to sing- harmonizing around the piano with friends is magic to me. I am studying Early Childhood Education in college. I am currently serving a mission in the England London South Mission and loving it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was centered around Christ- but i started to become truly converted when i was about 14. I know that this church is the only way to feel perfect peace, comfort, and joy. i know that the Lord leads his church- which makes it perfect. After finishing the Book of Mormon, it strengthened my testimony in how personal our relationship with God can be. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony in the atonement and how perfect that is. It is the one thing that gets us through this life. I am a daughter of God who knows me by name. I have a testimony in the spirit and how real it is- its the way God can communicate to us and help us know truth. My family is everything to me and I know that this gospel is the only way to be with them even after this life, i wouldnt trade anything in the world for that! I love this church and I truely believe that I can reach my full potential and become who God intends me to become by living by these standards and having faith in the Savior and His gospel.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful for my relationship with my Savior, and i know that through him i can see the best in people. the little acts of service go the longest way- whether its a smile or a prompting to call someone, i try to listen and help others feel the love that the savior has for each and everyone of his children. I live my faith by loving my faith, I am proud of who i represent. I seek oppurtunities to serve and to express love and appreciation.
