Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a student at BYU, a lover of food, an optimist, a missionary serving in Guatemala and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a full-time student studying at Brigham Young University. When I am not studying, I love to practice yoga, cook and spend time with those I love. I love being in nature and dancing in the kitchen. Most of all, I love meeting new people and learning about what makes them happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me so happy. I am able to grow closer to Jesus Christ, learn to live like Him and one day return to my Heavenly Father. Growing up a non-member, I did not know what the purpose of life on earth was. I now understand that we are children of our Father in Heaven, who loves us so much. We are sent to earth to learn and grow and be apart of a family and to experience joy. Knowing that we have a divine purpose on earth has brought me so much peace, comfort and hope. The happiness it brings me daily is a testament of its truthfulness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being happy and by abiding gospel principles. As I follow the guidance church leaders, I make intelligent decisions that enable me to become more like the Savior. At Brigham Young University I have been given the opportunity to lead a group of women in my ward, allowing me to grow close with them, administer to their needs and make goals with them to help us all grow closer to our Heavenly Father. I will be serving a full time mission in Guatemala this summer, where I will be given the opportunity to share the gospel for 18 months. As a missionary for the church, I will represent the Lord as a minister of the restored gospel. I could not be more excited to share the good news of the gospel and bring the blessings of it to the people of Guatemala.
