Hi I'm Hannah

I am newly married to my best friend, Cameron. I work as an Ophthalmic Technician for an eye doctor. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student working toward my Associate's Degree in General Studies. I work for an eye doctor as an Ophthalmic Technician and am currently working toward certifying to become a certified Ophthalmic assistant. Nine months ago I married my best friend, Cameron, in the Logan, Utah temple. I love being outside in the sun, taking walks and riding my bike. I enjoy watching movies and eating popcorn with friends and family. I love to swim, although I'm not an excellent swimmer. I am not athletic or competitive. I want to learn to play a musical instrument. I want to be a mom, and plan to be one soon. I have eight older siblings who I have looked up to my entire life - they are wonderful people. I love to read and learn new things - I also love to write. I'm not a very good writer, but I enjoy writing short stories usually about my own life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first and foremost because I was raised in a Mormon household. My parents are Mormon and they raised my siblings and I in the church. I went to church every Sunday, and prayed and studied scriptures with my family. I learned much growing up from attending church and listening to the leaders of the church, but I never found my own personal testimony that this gospel was true until I was about twenty years old. When I moved out and attended college I decided that I wanted to do my own thing - "my own thing" turned out to be not going to church or living my faith. Over time I discovered that I was unhappy and depressed. I didn't find very much joy in life and unfortunately it took some mistakes and regret to get me to finally decided to change. I had good friends and an awesome family who brought be back. I am a Mormon because I discovered for myself that being so makes me the happiest I've been in life. I am a Mormon because I know I have a purpose here on Earth to learn and grow and eventually return to my Father in Heaven again and have eternal life with my family. I have a testimony of this gospel, of being a Mormon. I know that this faith is true and that I do have a Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ who live and who love me, and are mindful of me. I have a testimony of prayer, I know that I can pray to my Father in Heaven at any time and He will be listening and caring for me. I have a testimony that families can be together forever. I also have a testimony that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus and communicated with them. I know that he is a prophet of God and restored the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to the Earth. I know that through my Savior and his sacrifice he made for us I can repent of my sins and be comforted and live with Him again. I know that He loves me, I know that He loves everyone and is mindful of everyone on Earth, we are His children and He wants us to return again and live with him.

How I live my faith

I love being a Mormon! Being a Mormon brings me the most joy in life. I live my faith by attending church every Sunday with the attitude to want to learn more and change. Every day I strive to help those around me and to remember my Savior and Father in Heaven. My husband and I were extended a calling in our church to organize a ward program. We have designed a format and have carried it out each week and passed it out to members of our church so they are informed and updated on announcements and who will be speaking to the congregation that Sunday. We also include a couple or family spotlight with a picture each week so we can all get to know each other better. Other small, but uplifting, ways that I live my faith are praying to my Father in Heaven several times a day and reading my scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I love how I feel when I read them, and really enjoy learning new things each time I study.
