Hi I'm Auburn

I grew up in Canada. I love to ski, read, and windsurf. I am preparing to serve in the Thailand Bangkok mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Calgary Alberta Canada. I attend university at BYU. I hope to be able to study something in either business or medicine. I am also preparing to serve as a missionary in the Thailand Bangkok mission. I absolutely love to ski. In my free time I love to read, hike, and hang out with friends. I love my family, we do many fun activities together. I am the oldest, I have 2 younger sisters and a younger brother. I also love it when people tell me funny stories.

Why I am a Mormon

At the risk of sounding cliche, I don't know where I would be without this church. Many times in my life, when I felt sad, inadequate, or lonely, I knew I could turn to my heavenly father and his gospel, and that I would gain the peace of mind or direction I needed. I feel like I don't really have a conversion story, but rather that I have known all along that this gospel is true. The gospel rings true in every aspect of my life, and I know that as I strive to live it I am blessed. My favourite scripture is found in the Book of Mormon in Helaman 5:12. The main idea behind this scripture is that if we remember to build our foundation on Christ, it is a sure foundation, that if we build upon... we cannot fall. This and many other gospel principles have helped me in my life, as I know that if I do my best to live them heavenly father will help me through anything, and I will not fall.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best I can each day, and by trying to bring joy to others lives. Every time I see someone sad or someone that is feeling negative or down, I do my best to brighten their day. I try to reassure them that everything will be alright in the end, and that if its not alright, it simply isn't the end. Some of my university classes are focused on religion, and I try my best to live and understand the principles taught to me in these classes. I also live my faith by going to church each sunday. At church, I have had the opportunity to teach some gospel centered lessons. Currently, I am preparing to serve as a missionary in the Thailand Bangkok mission. I hope to be able to share the joy the gospel has brought me with the people of Thailand.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

I truly believe that families can be together forever. I love my family so much... in fact they are my best friends. Through the ordinances performed in temples, and the gospel of Jesus Christ, a husband and wife can be sealed in the Temple, and any children born to them will be with them forever. Also, if there is a circumstance such as an adoption, those children can also be sealed to their adoptive parents. Death is not the end of our relationship with our families, if we strive to accept the atonement and follow the example of Christ, we truly will be able to be with our loving families forever.
