Hi I'm Crystal

I grew up in the Salt Lake Valley with my mom and two sisters. I am happily married with two daughters. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up, I attended church with my grandparents and occassionally with my mom and sisters. My freshmen year in high school is when I started to understand who I was and that I wanted to go to church. Even if that meant going alone sometimes. I went to church for me and to learn about the Savior. After finishing high school, my associate of arts degree came next. Not sure of what to do, I spent some time visiting others with the missionaries. This created a desire to serve a mission, which meant moving to another city and sharing the gospel with others for 18 months. Returning home, I continued visiting and serving those around me. I felt like I was lead by my Heavenly Father to find my husband as I attended university. We met, married and had our first baby within a year. We now serve in our church with all of our strengths, weakness and fears. Strength because of our faith, weakness because everyone has them, and fears because we all need to face them. We all make mistakes, but we all can have a powerful influence on one another as we develop friendships. From a seminary wall, "Trials and challenges are manditory, misery is optional".

Why I am a Mormon

Simply put, I believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church. I believe that what I am doing in life makes me happy. I enjoy meeting people and inviting them to have a relationship with God and Jesus Christ. The King James Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price are full of examples of how the Lord has blessed his children and wants us to return and live with him again.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy getting to know people. Most of the time, if I see someone, I am not afraid to talk to them. Currently I co-teach with others, a class about the basic principles of the gospel. We also visit people at home and teach lessons to new members of our church. My family prays and reads scriptures together. We also pray and study on an individual There are four books we study from. The all teach about Jesus Christ and how we has blessed their lives. These books include the King James Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price.
