Hi I'm Anders

I am from Beaverton Oregon. I am a runner, I am a missionary in Lyon France and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a freshman in college studying Economics. I really enjoy sports. In high school I ran Cross Country and track, played Basketball, and Golfed. Running is a big part of my life. I recently ran my first marathon! I like to have fun with friends and make people laugh. I love my family and love being with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is Christ's Church that has been restored to the Earth. I also know that the Book of Mormon works with the Bible to give us the fullness of Christ's gospel. I have learned that our Heavenly Father has a plan for us to live with him and our families after we die and knowing this gives me a lot of joy. By living the standards God has given us I also have a lot of peace and Joy in my life now. I have gained a testimony of these things by reading the Book of Mormon and asking God if it is true. I have received an answer to this question and many other questions throughout my life by getting promptings from the Holy Ghost. I know that anyone can find out for themselves if the Book of Mormon and the Mormon Church is true by asking God. If we are willing to act and have faith we can find anything out for ourselves through the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example set by the Savior, Jesus Christ. Some of the attributes that he had that I try to emulate include faith, hope, charity, virtue, knowledge, patience, humility, diligence and obedience. I am defiantly not perfect at these things but I try to work on them little by little. As a teenager I had the opportunity to serve in my church as a leader in a group of boys my age called a quorum. I have also been called to serve as a missionary in Lyon, France. For the next two years I will be teaching people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how His church has been restored to the earth in these days. The standards that I try to keep as a Mormon are not always easy but I have found that when I try to understand why God has asked me to follow them it makes it easier.
