Hi I'm Brenton

I grew up in Pueblo, Colorado. I worked at a movie theater, I'm a missionary, I am a nerd, I love Bat-man and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado all of my life. I love to play sports mainly, basketball and football. I really enjoy being outdoors, especially in the mountains. I love movies and I worked at a movie theater for three years. I am a middle child of four, two sisters and one brother. I like to read comic books and my favorite superhero is Batman. I like to play video games. I like to joke around and have a good time. Education is really important to me. My goal in life is to be a surgeon. Music is a huge part of my life and I have played one instrument or an other since I was 8. I love my family and friends and really enjoy being around them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of many reasons. The first and foremost is that the truth of it was manifested unto me by the spirit of god. There was once a time in my life where I was so lost. I did not know what to do or where to go. I felt completely and utterly alone. I was confused and angry. I had been raised in the church but had fallen away, mainly because I never sought after a knowledge for myself of the truthfulness of the church in my heart I believed but I didn't know that. It eventually came to a point where with nowhere left to turn I decided to try the things I had been taught all of my life. I searched the scriptures and prayed earnestly. I received an answer that this was the true church and that my father in heaven loved me and that he had a divine plan for me. The spirit truly manifested upon me about the truthfulness of this church and I cannot deny that. There are many other reasons why I am a Mormon but the most important is because I know its true and when I am part of it I feel my father in heaven's love.

How I live my faith

There are a lot of things that I do to live my faith. I teach the 10 to 11 year old boys in Sunday school every week. Every week I prepare a lesson and teach the boys for around an hour. I also am a leader in a group for the young single adults ages 18-30. I help to organize activities. Every Monday I help coordinate and activity with a spiritual lesson and treat. I also help in reaching out to those who may be struggling in this group and try to help as best I can. My main role is to encourage others to come and participate in activities. I also home teach where once a month me and my home teaching companion go out and visit three families in the ward and teach a spiritual message and help the family in any way we can. I am also preparing to serve a full time mission for the church.
