Hi I'm Cristal

I'm a quirky Latina. I love dancing, talking, and warm hugs. I am obsessed with languages. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am pursuing a major in Linguistics. I love how language brings people together. I LOVE PEOPLE. Writing, doodling, and learning different languages is what I spend my time doing. I enjoy dancing and flowers. I love smiling and making other people smile too. I plan on using my major in Linguistics to help others attain a better life. My goal in life is to touch one person and help them towards happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but I have not always had a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I went through a hard period in my life of anxiety and depression. At my darkest moments, I went to God and asked Him, "why me?" There, in my sad moments, I felt Heavenly Father hug me. He never lets our hand go, he will always hold us close. I do not know a lot, but I know that Heavenly Father loves me and that Jesus Christ died not only for our sins and transgressions, but for all of the pain and heartbreak that we will ever feel. In the moments when we feel the farthest from happiness is when we need most to cleave unto God. He loves you and He only wants you to be happy. The only way to attain true happiness is by following and obeying His commandments. So, why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because through this gospel I am able to feel true joy. More than anything in the world, I wish to have the opportunity to be an instrument in God's hand and bring happiness to the ends of the world.

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday School in my Young Single Adults ward and I love it! My favorite aspect of the gospel is service through missionary work. I love doing random acts of kindness and work hard to establish peace in my community. I volunteer at an elementary school because I believe children can be the biggest advocates for harmony and happiness in our society. I am by far not perfect, but I love my Heavenly Father and His children very much.
