Hi I'm Austin

I grew up in Utah. I love sports and being active. I am a Mormon

About Me

I grew up playing sports.I came to love wrestling and have been wrestling for the past six years. I also enjoy biking, and lifting weights. I am currently serving a Mission in Riverside California. My younger brother was born deaf so I have grown up speaking American Sign Language. I love spending time with my family and friends. In my down time I enjoy being able to pull out my Book of Mormon and read. Some of the biggest blessings in my life have come from the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up my younger brother was born with a syndrome called charge syndrome. When he was born I had trouble believing that he would put such a hard trail in the life of me and my family who were an active LDS family. Through constant struggles during that time I came to the realization that we are here as a trial, and that he only gives the hardest things to the strongest people. Through the help from family, friends and the Book of Mormon I was able to gain a greater testimony of this gospel, and am so glad to have been put in my family. I love them, and am so happy I can know that i will be with them for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly being an example of the Savior. I have been blessed to have this gospel in my life and am so grateful that I have the opportunity to share it with others. Anytime I get the chance I look to share the knowledge of the gospel with others. I try to always be an example to those in my family, church, stake, and school. I love this Gospel!

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Austin
It is a volunteer mission. Everything that a missionary does is funded by either their own from the work they did before leaving or through help of family. They are out to spread the message of Jesus Christ and his atonement. They tell of the restored gospel on the earth today. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Austin
We believe that a family is central to God's plan. Without the family to teach children the proper things where are they going to learn it? The Gospel of Jesus Christ is taught by families to help their children grow and blossom as Children of their Heavenly Father. We believe that the family is where everything begins. If it weren't for the things we learn in our youth, at home, our society would be in a much worse state. Because of the Fall of Adam every human born is going to sin! However with the help of families teaching these Children the proper things to do, and then The Atonement which was set up by Jesus Christ when he walked on this earth, we would never be able to enter into the presence of God. That is why the family is so Important. To teach children the gospel and help them to return to live with their father in heaven again. Show more Show less
