Hi I'm Emilee

I grew up in Utah and I attend BYU-Idaho. Headed to the Belgium/Netherlands Mission soon, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I've lived most of my life in Utah but I'm so thankful for the 6 years that I lived in Oregon. I fell in love with the Oregon Coast and the rain, and now seafood is one of my favorite foods. I'm the youngest of 8 kids and I love watching old family videos and reminiscing on the memories of my childhood. My Family is what's most important to me and I adore playing with my 19 nieces and nephews. My hobbies include sewing, crafting, spontaneous adventures, soccer, four square(I picked that one up in College), and playing the violin since I was 7. I just finished my first year at BYU-Idaho and now I'm preparing to serve a Full time Mission in August. I can already tell that it is the best decision I can make at this time, and I can hardly wait to serve the people of Belgium and the Netherlands. I just found out that I have Dutch Ancestors which makes me even more excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I've felt in my heart that this Church is true. I've had the privilege of growing up in the Church, but at times it seemed harder for me because I was always told that this gospel is true without being able to know for myself. It turns out that I was leaning on my parents testimony as I grew up, and It wasn't until I moved away to College that I really had to think about what I knew to be true. Through patience, and diligence with quiet scripture study, and prayer to my Heavenly Father I have felt the spirit testify to me over time that this Gospel is true. It didn't come to me all at once, and I definitely had to have patience. I am a Mormon because I know that the only way to true happiness and Eternal Life is to follow the Saviors Plan. I am a Mormon because this gospel if full of second chances, and I know I am not perfect, but with the help of my Father in Heaven I can return to live with him again someday. I am a Mormon. I know it, live it, and I love it.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith in the most simple way possible. I am Happy. My Happiness is what is going to draw others towards me and have them wondering how in the world can she be so happy? I am happy because I know who I am and what my purpose in life is. I know that I am a Daughter of God with divine potential and my way of showing that I know that is by being happy. I live my faith through providing others with simple acts of service and kindness because that is how our Savior Jesus Christ would show his love. I try to be a good friend by writing notes of encouragement or surprising someone with an act of service.
