Hi I'm Marilyn

I play drums, write music, lift weights, teach Zumba, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor who also teaches drums and writes music for a high school marching drumline. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, as well as a national certification in Massage Therpay. So, you could say that I do a lot! I am in the process of preparing for a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy, a profession that I am hoping will take me into a well-rounded, full-time career that can encompass all that I currently do. I have never been married, and have no children to speak of, although it is my hope to find my eternal companion and begin our family. I am adventurous and love to try new things, most recently mountain biking and cross-country skiing!

Why I am a Mormon

I became familiar with the Church through my best friend, and after attending the baptism of her daughter, I came to the realization that I have been missing out on something far greater than I could have imagined. The love for Christ that I thought I possessed, was nothing compared to the love expressed by the members of the Church on that day. I decided to learn more, and found myself on this website. Shortly after, I was in possession of a copy of the Book of Mormon. Upon reading it, and through multiple signs given to me by Heavenly Father, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that this book was indeed true, and I was ready to convert my life to following this gospel.

How I live my faith

I currently serve my ward by leading the music during Sacrament Meeting, and I also teach 7 year-olds in Primary, preparing them for baptism at the age of 8. In the summer, we have camps for our teenage youth, and I have been called to be in charge of the Young Women in our ward for this year's camp. Outside of the Church, I live my faith by striving to set a good example for others to see and allowing Christ-like attributes to shine forth. It is my hope that through these actions, I can help others come unto this Gospel just as I did.

Are Mormons Christians?

Marilyn
Very much so! Our official church name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Our faith is a Christ-centered faith, one in which we believe Jesus Christ to be our Savior, the Redeemer of our souls, and the way to eternal life. Show more Show less
