Hi I'm Jason

I'm a student, a music enthusiast, and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at Brigham Young University studying linguistics. About five months ago, I returned from serving as a missionary for the Church in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission. I spent two years there serving and growing to love the Hmong community in the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin. I'm also a musician—I've played the piano since I was about five, and I love to play and listen to all kinds of music. I especially love going to concerts.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a member of the Church, but I had to discover its truth for myself. Through sincere prayer, I have come to know that it is true, and that knowledge has changed my life. I have felt for myself that my Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ—my older brother—love me more than I can understand. I know that Christ went through the process of the Atonement for all of humanity, but He also went through it for me individually. I know God has a plan and a purpose for me, because He wouldn't have sent me here without one. And I know that He wants more than anything for me to come home to Him after this life so that I can live with Him and with my family for eternity. All that He asks is that I be willing, humble, and obedient. This gospel means more to me than I can adequately put into words.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the Church. As a missionary, I did it full-time. Devoting all of my time to the Lord and His children was difficult, but it was completely worth it. Now that I'm home, I still look for opportunities to show my love for God and for my brothers and sisters. I try to be a little better every day, and I can see the blessings that come from it. I love having God's help in my life and I know that I can rely on Him.
