Hi I'm Kelsey

I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I loving hiking, rappelling, the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second youngest of four children. My family is my life. We all have a love for the outdoors and it brings us together. I attended college at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah and loved every second of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received personal confirmation, from The Spirit, that this church is true. I didn't always know what I know now. I believed that there was God and I believed in Jesus Christ. My parents taught me correct principles and I decided to govern myself and follow the Savior. While I was in high school, I made the choice to find out for myself if the things I had been taught all my life where actually true. I started off by watching the Joseph Smith movie about the restoration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Some time after, I read the Book of Mormon for my first time. After I finished the book, I prayed to our lovely Father in Heaven to know if it was true. I received a warm feeling in my heart and I knew that there was no doubt in my mind... this book is the word of God. Gaining a testimony of the Book of Mormon allowed my testimony of Joseph Smith to grow. He is a true prophet! By gaining a testimony of Joseph Smith, I gained a testimony of living prophets and so on. Reading the scriptures helps me feel closer to God. Through prayer, I feel a personal connection with Him. I don't know much, but I know I am a daughter of God. Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of the world. He loves us and I feel that love in my life daily. I can testify that the trails in our lives are given to us to make us stronger and grow closer to God. I'll continue to try my hardest each day to be faithful to His teachings, knowing that I don't have to be perfect, and that through his infinite grace, and my effort, I can be perfected one step, one mistake at a time. I know who I am, why I am here and where I am going after this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living my faith! I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am no where near perfect, but I try to live by the principals he taught. Believe me when I say that I have many flaws, but I know that through Christ, I can be made whole.
