Hi I'm Kate Kempton

I grew up in Safford on a cotton farm. I'm a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to write and am going to school to become a book editor/publisher. I love Doctor Who, Supernatural and Sherlock. I was a part of a Venture Crew and am very grateful for the Scouting program. Aside for literature, my other huge hobby is music. I play guitar and the violin.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a part of this church, put my testimony didn't truly start to thrive until I started Seminary my freshman year of high school. It wasn't until then that I had a truthful desire to read the Book of Mormon or any of the other scriptures. It was at Seminary that I was able to learn more about my Savior and more fully understand and appreciate what he has done for me. My personal conversion to the Gospel has been slow, but the best things take time. Now that I'm in Institute, it's been easier to learn and to build my testimony being around people who believe the same as I do yet are so much more diverse than what I'm accustomed to.

How I live my faith

I try to help wherever I'm needed. I was teaching the sisters in my branch for some time and now am part of a presidency as a secretary to further help serve. Being apart of the Institute at my college has provided me more opportunities to serve in my community as well as in the church.
