Hi I'm Dave

I never grew up. I'm an engineer. I have a beautiful wife, 4 kids & 5 grandkids. We are empty nesters and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an electrical engineering manager for a company that makes flight control systems for aircraft near Buffalo, NY. I enjoy woodworking, camping and gardening (I feel close to God when I'm camping and gardening).. My wife and I have 3 daughters and 1 son. My eldest daughter has 2 girls and 1 boy. My son has 2 boys. I went on an LDS church mission to Japan many years ago.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager, I was somewhat lost and unsure how to proceed with my life. I had grown up in the LDS Church. My parents were hoping that I would go on a mission. I was more into cars, rock & roll and girls. I wanted to know what I should do with my life. Whether I should continue with the "fun" or follow my upbringing. I decided to pray to my Heavenly Father, with my whole heart, for the first time. After hours of diligent praying, a feeling of comfort and joy wash over me and I was given the knowledge that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's true church. I know this church is true and I knew that I needed to sacrifice my "fun" and go on a mission to share God's truth. I went on a mission to Japan. I still know deep within my heart that this church is true and it is the center of my life and has enhanced every aspect of my life. I know that it will be a joy in your life, too.

How I live my faith

I have accumulated a lot of equipment and I enjoy using it for serving friends and neighbors in their hours of need. I coordinate the local area missionary efforts - we have 4 Great Elders and 2 Awesome Sisters that help us. We really love what the gospel means in our life and love sharing our joy with our neighbors and friends. I love to visit other members and see how they are doing. It's great to make good friends.
