Hi I'm Marshall

I'm a desert boy. I bleed blue. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There is nothing I enjoy in this life more than falling asleep on the couch while watching a funny movie. I might just be the biggest Utah Jazz basketball fan of all time, and I am content with the fact that they will never be any good. I pride myself in being a big brother, and a son to two terrific parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because nothing has brought me more joy in this life than the relationship I have had with my Savior, and the way his gospel is unfolded in this church. I love that he has trusted us with his authority to bind on families on Earth, and given us a Prophet, Thomas Monson, of whom we can seek guidance for our daily trials. Most of all, I am a Mormon because I have faith in a loving God; one who has a personal plan for me, and has given me the tools necessary to be successful in this life. I know that he lives, and that his Son lives. I know that the appeared to the boy-prophet Joseph Smith, and that he did restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness. I know that the happiness that is promised me from being obedient to God's commandments greatly outweighs any earthy attainment or recognition. I am Mormon because I know that the Savior is the head of this church, because it is his.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary for the church. I have been called to serve for 2 years, and I try my hardest to invite others to come closer to their Savior, and strengthen families in the Gospel of Christ. Family is a HUGE part of my life. I was lucky enough to be born to the two best parents in the world, and a family that loves and supports each other. I believe that there is no real purpose to life outside the home, until life inside is peaceful, and the principles of Christ's Gospel are lived. I love my family, and not because they are perfect (they are far from), but because they are who God has designated me to grow, learn, and find joy with. I live my faith by trying my hardest to be an obedient son, to my earthly parents as well as my Heavenly Father. I am not a perfect example, but I am forever indebted to the Savior who I can model myself after. My life is not perfect, but it's what God has given me, and I love it.
