Hi I'm Bethany

I grew up in South Jordan. I am a registered nurse. I love hiking, camping, and peanut butter. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up number 2 in a family of 6 kids. As a family, we loved camping and hiking and spent almost every holiday in the outdoors. I went to college in Cedar City, Utah where my love for the outdoors continued to grow, especially my love for the red rocks. After getting my associate's degree in Cedar City, I had a strong feeling to change my major to nursing and transfer to UVU. A month after I moved, I met my best friend in my new single's ward and we quickly became inseperable. We thought we were a pretty sweet match so we sealed the deal for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in 2010. We now have a baby boy who brings more joy and love into my life than I knew possible. We recently relocated to Las Vegas where we have learned to rely on each other, fellow church members, and our friends more than ever before. I love answering coworkers' questions about my beliefs, especially those coworkers who have never who have never known a Mormon before. I've learned a lot about myself and my testimony while being away from "home." As I have had the opportunity to explain my values and standards, I have learned to truly appreciate the values and standards we have as members of the church.

Why I am a Mormon

My family (both the family I grew up in and my little family I have now) is the most important thing to me. I love the knowledge that I am sealed and will be with my family forever--long after we die. The knowledge that Christ came to the earth to atone for my sins so I can repent and return to live with God and my family again is amazing. I wouldn't trade that knowledge for anything!

How I live my faith

I was born into a Mormon family and have attended church almost every Sunday my whole life. Through my life I have had different roles in my church. Currently I teach a class that discusses the teachings of current-day prophets. Reading and preparing for the lessons helps my testimony grow, but teaching the principles I study invites the spirit to enter my heart and solidifies my testimony of latter-day prophets.
