Hi I'm Heidi

I grew up in Lindon, Utah. I'm a student at BYU and I LOVE to dance. I'm a Mormon :)

About Me

I am a college student studying exercise science. I graduate in April 2014. Yay! I'm planning on going to graduate school for occupational therapy. My passion is dance! I grew up doing ballet and currently I do folk dance. I travel with a team, performing dances from around the world. My favorite part about it is being able to meet so many people and learn about their cultures and traditions. I helps me feel connected to the world and to see the good in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the doctrines of this church are true and because it brings me more joy than anything else in the world. For a long time I attended church just because it's what my family did, but our church teaches that everyone can gain their own knowledge of what is true. I put that doctrine to the test. I prayed and studied and prayed some more. It didn't happen over night, but gradually I began to understand the truthfulness of what I was being taught. And as I live by the teachings of the church, I see the hand of the Lord in my life and all that He has blessed me with. I know that Christ is the Savior and I have felt the strength of His Atonement in my life through the good times and the bad. There is no greater joy than to come to Christ. He has lifted me to far greater heights than I could ever reach on my own.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing my testimony of Christ and trying each day to come closer to Him. Right now I attend church with other college students and we depend on each other for love and support while we're away from our homes and families. Every Monday night we meet in small groups to talk about our beliefs and to have fun and make friends. It's one of my favorite things about the church. Wherever I go, even though I'm away from my family, I have the opportunity to meet people and build relationships with them. I can be there for them and I know that they will be there for me. We can follow Christ's example of service and strengthen each other.
