Hi I'm Michael

I am a student at Brigham Young University. I I I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time student at Brigham Young University. I love spending time with friends and getting to know new people. I love wake boarding, playing sports, doing handstands, and riding around on my moped. If I could go on vacation anywhere I would go up to the mountains of Idaho to spend time on the lake and in the outdoors. When you get to know me, I can be a bit of a goof ball but that is just my way of enjoying this wonderful life.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings of the church have brought me more happiness than anything else in my life. Through my own experiences I have learned that as I try to do all that Christ taught I will be blessed in all aspects of my life. We all make mistakes and there is nothing sweeter than to know that, through Christ, we can overcome our weakness and become stronger. My greatest desire is to one day live with God and with my family and I know that I can only achieve that by living the gospel.

How I live my faith

I just got back from a 2 year mission to Uruguay in August of 2013. I spent that time teaching others about Jesus Christ, doing service and learning about their culture. It was a huge eye opener to me because I learned that the world was much bigger than just Boise, Idaho. I was exposed to a lot of poverty which made me realize how blessed I had been growing up. Even though their living conditions were much worse than here, I was amazed at how happy some of the people were with what they had. Especially those who lived the gospel. I helped people with drug addictions, alcohol problems, broken up families, depression, and other serious problems. I also helped many who didn't have serious problems, but just needed to be taught the truth. Living in another country for two years allowed me to learn a lot about myself and made me realize more than ever that I want to live this gospel for the rest of my life. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the world. I currently am attending church every Sunday with hundreds of other LDS young adults at BYU. I continue to stay actively involved in the church with the guys my age. It is nice to be surrounded by so many other people with the same goals and aspirations.
