Hi I'm Del

I was born in Hawaii. I live in Arizona. I am a sales mgmt. professional. I have a beautiful family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a person who loves his family. For that reason, my choices in life revolve around that primary interest. My choice in where I live, what I do professionally, and how I spend my free time are by-products of that primary value; family life. My wife and I have been married for more than 27 years. I am a father of 6 and a grandfather of 2. I believe that people do what is important to them. For that reason, I am always thoughtful of choices, activities, and behaviors of mine and my family, in order to help to reinforce the best path for our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual progress. While I am not perfect in that effort, it is an awareness that I rely on to keep me moving in the right direction and help me to have the most meaningful life that I can possibly have, with those who are dearest to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I believe it provides me the best path to a full and rewarding life during my time here on earth. Because of the knowledge I have of the Plan of Happiness, I can be in a place to always remember who I am, where I came from, and where I want to be going. Life is full of thousands of choices every day. I believe that if we do not always remember who we are and where we want to be going, then those choices can become confusing and mistakes are then easy to make. I believe my Father in Heaven wants us to know what our potential is, just as I always want my children to know what great things they can accomplish. He has provided the Gospel of Jesus Christ to benefit us in living lives that will allow us, along with our eternal families, to return to Him again. I also believe that He knows that we will make mistakes and because of that, He sent his only begotten, Jesus Christ, to earth in order to atone for our sins. The Atonement provides hope to us. Hope to overcome the pains, torment, hardship, loss, and sin that each of us experience in this earthly life. The examples of His ministry while on this earth provide a blueprint of sorts, from which we can sculpt our lives and build a rewarding and full life. I am thankful for the Atonement and the gift of repentance that it has provided, does provide, and will continue to provide me as I labor to always do what is right. I love my Heavenly Father, His son Jesus Christ, and my family. Thats why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life, I have had many opportunities to serve members and non-members throughout the communities I have lived in. I have spent a large amount of time teaching and learning from youth, visiting the homes of our members as a home teacher, and sitting in leadership meetings discussing the well-being of our members. My wife and I presently "team-teach" a 7-year old primary class every week. This is a wonderful opportunity to prepare, teach, and learn about the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It truly is a privilege to have this opportunity to sit with these wonderful children and witness their amazing spirits and enthusiasm for all things good.
