About Me

I grew up in Florida and when to school there and also I spent four years in Military school. I have spent time Drag Racing cars, Boat Racing, Scuba Diving and Boating, I also spent six years in the Army Reserve. I have been an active member of the church now for about 38 years, I am the father of five and grandfather to 14. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has brought wonderful changes into my life, I left the world of confusion and found the world purpose and meaning.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon. We were on a trip to Morocco when my wife spotted a couple standing across the room, as we were waiting for our plane to take us on this trip, we cross the room and introduced ourselves to them. This started a friend ship that lasted a long time ,during that time we vacationed with them many times, after a few years they sent the missionaries to see us. The missionaries came and we had a short visit, they made a appointment to come back, on the night they were to come back we had a open house for one of our friends that were opening a new restaurant, i remember the night well even though it was over 38 years ago, it was 40' and raining and these young missionaries were on bikes, I told my wife "there is no way those missionaries are coming to our home tonight lets stay and have fun with our friends." We agreed we would at least ride by an see if they were there. Wow to our surprise there they were on our front porch, wet and cold. I felt about two inches tall, after drying them off, they gave us the lesson, this was the start of many lesson, it took about three. one for my wife, one for the Elders and finally one for me. It is interesting to note that we were in a Bible study group with the church we were currently attending. As we would ask questions in that group we commonly get the answer "those are the mysteries of God." But when we had lesson for the LDS missionaries there were no mysteries only truth and answers, some took some faith and study to understand and then believe. As I pondered these two scenarios it came to me that if Jesus Christ wanted common man to accept and believe his gospel he would not have so many mysteries, the gospel would be "simply beautiful and beautiful simple." We were Baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. and our lives have been up lifted ever sense.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith, well that is a good question, it can be simple as I am a servant of Jesus Christ, as so I am a servant in the savors hands.I have served him in many ways sense joining the church, i have spend time working with the youth and planning many activities and enjoying there sweet spirits, also working with the men in many capasities to help them to grow in there service to the savior. I have also been the ecclesiastical leader for a period of time, serving the single adults, it was one of the best experience of my life, the energy, faith and hope that the young people have is electrifying to me.I have also served with the missionaries in our church and helped them in there desire to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all those that would partake of our message.
