Hi I'm Tammy

I'm a Mom. I'm a Play Therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a busy, working Mom of four! When I'm not playing "taxi" for my kids, I enjoy my career. I have the GREATEST job!! I'm a Play Therapist (use play to assist children 0-3 yrs. with developmental delays reach established goals). I have also worked with adults with Dementia, including Alzheimer's. I guess you could say that I love working with people.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a child, I was a member because that's what my parents did and said was the right thing to do. As I got older, my life choices took me away from the church for a period of time. During that time my testimony was tested, poked, prodded, examined, flipped, flopped and turned inside out. Finally, enough was enough! The only way out of this never ending cycle was with the help of Jesus Christ. I allowed the Atonement to work in my life, the way Heavenly Father intended it to be. I'm human, I still continue to be challenged, but I have armed myself with the greatest weapons of all time, the Gospel and the love of my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, along with the guidance of the Holy Ghost. I can't explain the comfort I have because of the Gospel in my life. I am grateful for the feelings of confirmation I constantly receive that let me know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is where I, and my family, should and need to be.

How I live my faith

I am currently the adult Sunday School teacher, which I will admit, seemed to be a daunting task when I was extended the calling. I have come to love teaching this class! My understanding of the Gospel continues to grow with each lesson as well as the discussions we have in class. I have also served in the nursery and teaching different ages of children in primary.
