Hi I'm Todd

I am a Mechanical Engineer, I have a wife and 6 kids, I love sports and outdoor adventures, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Professional Mechanical Engineer. I currently work on designing and implementing energy savings improvements for Industrial HVAC systems. I stay active and spend time with my wife and children. I coach their sports teams, attend as many of their activities and events as possible, take them with me outside to play basketball, ride bikes, ski, hike, or anything else they, or I, want to do.

Why I am a Mormon

God and Jesus Christ created the world we live in and our Spirits. They provided a way for us to gain a body, and they gave us our free agency so that we could learn and grow in this world. It is very hard for me to imagine this life with out a purpose. The intelligence of man kind is amazing. Man has been able to create incredible things from the materials provided solely from the earth. I believe many, if not all of these things have been inspired by God. He has created a world where his children can learn, grow, progress, and flourish on the earth with the free agency that he gave to us. He inspires us with natural spiritual instincts to love, serve, help, teach, and do good in all that we do. I am a Mormon because I can feel the love that God and Jesus Christ have for me, I believe He has a plan for His children to return to him, and that plan includes the organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Because He loves us so much and wants us to return to him, He provides us with guidance and help on this earth that are so obvious. The scriptures, prayer, the guidance of the Holy Ghost, a living prophet and apostles, an organization which facilitates the caring of those in need, buildings of worship, and He provides the savings ordinances which help His children build the faith required to commit to and live the principles of the Gospel on the earth. The Mormon Church is the true restored church of Jesus Christ. It is the same church as was on the earth when Christ himself was on the earth. The power of the Priesthood allows men to perform the ordinances on the earth in His name. I believe in Eternal Families. We spend our lives caring for, loving, and teaching our children, and it only makes sense that we have the opportunity to be together forever.

How I live my faith

I spend a lot of time serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Right now I am the 2nd counselor to the Bishop of our congregation. I attend council meetings, oversee some of the organizations in the ward for the youth and children, help process ward tithing and offerings, ask members of the church to serve in different ward related assignments, and periodically conduct the weekly sacrament services. As with any leadership calling in the church, I also have the opportunity to teach the youth and adults of the ward from time to time. I served a mission in Kobe Japan for 2 years when I was 19 years old. My fellow missionaries and companions, my mission president, and my parents and family had a strong impact on my choices during this time. I love the Japanese people, the language, the culture and the food.
