Hi I'm Laney

I'm a passionate, loving, opinionated, feminist thinking, life loving, optimistic woman, wife, & mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, & friend. My relationships with the people I love, are my greatest accomplishments. Life to me is about the people I love, and I LOVE people! I love my husband more than anything in the world, and my 3 kids are a close second. I'm an identical twin, which is part of who I am. I love to run, exercise, & sweat. I love dark chocolate. I love to laugh, a lot. I love to learn & I love education. I'm logical, I ask a lot of questions and demand a lot of answers. My peace of mind and love of life come from the faith that I have a Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother who love me, know me personally, and have a plan for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I want nothing more than for my earthly relationships with my family and those that I love, to continue on beyond this life. I am a Mormon because I believe Jesus Christ is my savior. I believe that the atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ will allow me to be with my family forever. His atonement also allows me to be forgiven of my sins & my shortcomings. The atonement also strengthens me here in this life to overcome trials and to help others around me find joy and happiness. Sometimes unanswered questions and horrific tragedies bring me great anxiety, pain, & heartache. I am a passionate person. I feel deeply. My belief as a Mormon, and my belief that I have a Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother with a plan for me and for each of us, is what soothes my soul and brings me great comfort and peace. At times, in my faith as a Mormon, I seem to have more questions than answers, but I stay, because I have had many deep abiding witnesses and experiences that lead me, my heart, & soul, to believe that this is where I am supposed to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my hardest to be more like my Savior Jesus Christ. I try to love as he loves. I try to raise my children to be more like him. I try to see others as he sees them. I try to make people happy like he would make them happy. I also live my faith by continually seeking truth and knowledge. I want to know what my Heavenly Parents have in store for me. I am continually seeking to create a stronger relationship with them, and I want to learn more about who I am and who I can become. I try to live my faith by doing what is right. I go to church every week and share my faith with those around me, because it brings me great happiness and peace. I want others to find the happiness that I have found.
