Hi I'm Catherine Mount!

Logan, Utah is my home. My family means everything to me! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a full time mission in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission at the Visitor's Center in Laie and I love being on my mission and getting the chance to meet so many different people! A little bit about myself- I am half Samoan, half Palagi(white) and I am proud of both sides. I am an only child but I have a large family so it's ok! I love being active in life! My favorite things to do are play basketball and spend quality time with my family and those I love. I'm grateful for Heavenly Father and all that He has blessed me with! I know that He places people in our paths to help us through life and give us happiness. Most importantly, I'm a MORMON!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into the church, but it wasn't until August of 2012 that I was truly converted to this gospel and gained my own testimony. Two weeks before my senior year, my amazing father lost his battle to cancer and my life has changed since... for the better! Through the trials that have been placed in my path, I've learned for myself that it is only through Jesus Christ that we can feel unbelievable peace and comfort. He has carried me through this difficult time in my life and has helped me become a better me. Knowing the true meaning of losing someone so special to me, I've learned to appreciate things a lot more, especially life itself. Every day is truly a gift! But I also know that when it is our time to return home, we can be comforted in knowing that we will see our families again, and we can be sealed to them for time and all eternity. Most importantly I've come to know, that there may be no one on this earth that knows what we are going through perfectly, but our Savior does. He suffered for us, so we wouldn't have to go through these times alone. I love my Heavenly Father so much, as well as my brother, my Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I know that my Father in Heaven is always watching over and caring for all of His children, and I know that sometimes he answers our prayers through others. I love this gospel and I love being a full time member!! Not because someone told me I should, but because I've gained my own testimony of this wonderful gospel!

How I live my faith

Like my parents would always say, "Your actions speak louder than words." I always strive to Choose the Right and uphold my standards. Being on a full time mission definitely makes those decisions easier! And although I am wearing a name tag and truly being a representative of Jesus Christ, I know that the habits I make on my mission will carry on to when I get home and become a wife and a mother. Every chance I get, I testify of His love that not only He has shown towards me, but the love that He has for all of His children!
