Hi I'm Nickolas Foust

I'm a graduate student in Civil Engineering. I love too many things like rafting, kayaking, and hockey. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single graduate student in Civil Engineering. I am a brother to my three sisters and a son to some awesome parents. I love many outdoor activities like hiking, climbing, rafting, kayaking, and mountain biking. I've been a river guide for 4 summers and will finish my fifth summer here in 2014. I play most sports including volleyball, hockey, basketball, and golf. I completed my first marathon in September 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to believe that God exists and cares for us. I believe that God sent Jesus Christ to teach us correct principles to live. I believe that understanding and living these principles will bring happiness to us in life. I have come to believe these things because certain experiences in life have brought confusion or happiness. I have needed to take time to think about why life is hard at times and why other times I find myself in the best situation. In both cases, I have found peace in living the principles that Jesus Christ taught. The feelings I have had through these experiences have become a foundation to my belief. In studying about different religions, I have found many different theories and viewpoints. I have come to the conclusion that there is no other way to know God's will other than praying and receiving an answer. I have prayed many times about the direction I should take in life, and I feel confident in the decision to follow Christ through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I feel it is the true church that Christ has re-established.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating and planning the many activities and meetings. I am involved with college aged adults that are outgoing and fun. I enjoy planning and participating in these activities that include sports, outdoor activities, games, and spiritually uplifting meetings. I have gained some of my best friends through this time in my life. I have found that everyone needs those true friends and meaningful connections whether they are on top of the world or their world is falling apart. I live my faith by trying to be a person that people can trust and count on.
