Hi I'm Gabriella Davis

I grew up in North Carolina. I am 18 years old and am preparing to attend Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

All my life I've been a North Carolina girl, and soon I will be attending Brigham Young University. I love to play volleyball and soccer, and my hobbies are baking, drawing, and dance. I love hanging out with my friends, shopping, and traveling. I have a family of 6, with two awesome parents, 1 sister, and 2 brothers. My family means the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed enough to be born into the church. Though I was born into the church, doesn't necessarily mean I was automatically converted. When I was 14, I decided for myself that I wanted to figure out who I was and who I wanted to become. I was going though some difficult times in my life, so I turned to the scriptures and The Book of Mormon to find out for myself whether what I had grown up learning was really true or not. I am a Mormon because I have pondered the scriptures and prayed to my Heavenly Father to come to know the truthfulness of the gospel. I love knowing that I am a daughter of God and that I have a Heavenly Father who not only loves me, but all of his children equally. I find that I am happier when I am living my life according to the church principles and serving others. I now know, without a shadow of a doubt, that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I wouldn't trade my knowledge of the gospel for anything on this earth. To me, the gospel is worth more than all the riches of the world. I want to one day serve a mission, so I can share my knowledge of the gospel and the happiness it brings me with others.

How I live my faith

Growing up, I had always been one of very few Mormons where I lived. I've always thought of myself to be different from others in this sense, but never in a negative way. I love the gospel and I love sharing it with my friends and the people I love. I live my faith by doing my best to live by the church standards, keeping the commandments, attending church and seminary regularly, and reading the scriptures. I honestly don't know where I'd be without the gospel in my life because it brings me such happiness and peace. I am preparing to go on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints so I can share the word of the gospel with others so they can feel the same happiness that the gospel gives me.
