Hi I'm Eric

I've lived in Utah for most of my life. I'm a college student. I'm a missionary. I'm a family oriented person. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Elder Eric LeFevre. I am currently serving a mission in the Nebraska Omaha Mission. I am 20 years old and I'm one of six kids. I love my family more than anything. I've completed one year of college at Utah State University, Go Aggies! I love basketball whether it's watching or playing. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have an NBA team near my home.

Why I am a Mormon

It's harder to understand why I'm a Mormon when I was born into the church. Over the years I didn't know why I was or why my family was. For a couple years I was almost resistant to building a testimony or building any spiritual development. I'm 20 years old and I would say it was only this last year I discovered why I'm a Mormon. In the summer of 2013 I was in a bad place. I was depressed, mad at a lot of people, and I just felt lost. It almost felt like not one person or anybody could make me happy. I don't know how but suddenly everything started to click. I turned to priesthood leadership and it felt like almost everything started to get better and better. I could feel the Spirit and quite often. I started to make it a habit of reading scriptures and praying. I've participated in a program called the Sons of Helaman, that helps young men to get ready to serve a mission. I started to understand why Christ atoned for our sins and how much I needed Him to help carry me. The Atonement makes bad men good and good men better. It always works for us. It's not just a one and done thing. I am a Mormon because this religion brings me closer to my Savior, my brother, more than any other religion in the world ever could.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to share it with others. My faith is 24/7 365 days a year for the next two years. My mission is tough but it's made me grow mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. On my mission I've relied on our Savior's Atonement, for all of us, more than I have my whole life combined.

Are Mormons Christians?

We are very much Christians. Our church name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ. I've relied on Christ's Atonement and I believe that is key to being a Christian. Show more Show less
