Hi I'm Erin

I'm a daughter, sister, student, friend, a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Denver but grew up mainly in Iowa. I was always very active in school particularly in music and theatre. I love to sing and dance and play the piano. I am a student at Brigham Young University where I hope to pursue a career in education. Soon I will be serving as a full time missionary in the California Roseville Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life but that doesn't mean I didn't have to gain my own understanding and faith. Growing up I always listened to and trusted my parents and leaders who guided me in the church. I also engaged personally in finding answers and growing my own testimony. As I have studied the scriptures, attended church, and prayed to my Heavenly Father I have come to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the true gospel on the earth today. I know that Heavenly Father knows and loves each of his children on earth. He hears and answers our prayers. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who was called to restore the truth of the gospel to the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true account of people who lived on the earth and testified of Christ. I know that God continues to call prophets to guide the church today. Most importantly, I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. Because He was willing to sacrifice and die for us, we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and our families again. I know that because of the Atonement, Christ understands us perfectly and can help us to overcome any hardship or sadness we may feel. I am so grateful to have this knowledge and for all the ways it has blessed me in my life.

How I live my faith

Through my youth I was an active leader in my class presidencies. I attended church every Sunday, activities every Wednesday, camps in the summer, and seminary every morning before school. More recently I have taught Sunday School for various age groups of children. I can't wait to be able to live and share my faith as a full time missionary in California.
