Hi I'm Zach Petersen

I grew up in Fairfield CA, I'm serving a mission for the Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played water-polo in high school, after I graduated I returned to coach the team. We weren't a good team when I played but somehow my fellow coaches and I managed to turn the team around for a winning season. I am a merit badge counselor for the BSA, I handle most aquatic merit badges. I worked for a car dealership as a detailer, shuttle driver and I learned how to do minor repairs during my spare time. I love music, poetry, literature and all other forms of art. I can play the piano but I couldn't write a song to save my life. I love to tell stories. Everyone has a story; even if it is a small one, but people seemed to be scared to share theirs.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church. I am the youngest of four children also born into the Church. When I was in High school, I started to leave the Church. It started small, but by my senior year I was far gone. After High school I started to coach water-polo with two young women from the local young single adults branch. (YSA) They invited me to activities after the practices; at first I made excuses but eventually they got me to come out. I went to gospel study classes and the fun little games that they had planned through out the week. I started to go out more and more and before I knew it I was in love with the Church again. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this church is true. I know that reading that on a stranger's web page on a church associated website does little justice to that phrase. This is the true restored church, I love this church with all my heart and I testify that this Church and the Gospel of Christ will bring you more joy and peace than any other Church. I searched for a different answer for peace. But I was ultimately led back to where I started with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I spend my time bringing people together and making sure everyone is doing well. For FHE I plan activities to entertain and bring everyone closer together. (mostly entertain, the coming closer together just happens if everyone is happy) Soon I will be serving a full time mission in St. Louis, Missouri. I will spend my time helping those around me and teaching the Gospel to all I can.
